坐落于澳大利亚悉尼北岸戈登区的Gordon House，是为一个六口之家量身打造的长期居所。这座住宅的前身，是一栋1918年建成的两层联邦风格老房子，不仅占地宽敞，还自带网球场与泳池。此次改造并未推倒重建，而是在保留原有建筑结构的基础上，向后进行扩建。澳大利亚设计师Greg Natale主导设计，为老宅梳理出全新的空间气质。

Gordon House, located in Gordon, North Shore, Sydney, Australia, is a long-term residence custom-built for a family of six. The predecessor of this residence was a two-story Federation-style house built in 1918, which not only had a spacious area but also came with a tennis court and a swimming pool. This renovation did not involve demolition and reconstruction but rather an expansion to the rear while retaining the original building structure. Australian designer Greg Natale led the design, giving the old house a brand-new spatial character.

设计没有局限于某一种固定风格，而是巧妙融合了地中海的浪漫氛围与后现代的设计巧思。通过装饰细节的艺术化表达，搭配建筑结构的理性规划，让整个空间既富有美感，又充满张弛有度的秩序感。

走进室内，随处可见精心设计的装饰细节，共同讲述着老宅的新生故事。天花板被分成几段，刷上清新的柑橘色；造型独特的吊灯自带强烈的视觉冲击力；色彩搭配更是大胆却不失分寸，打造出层次分明、节奏感十足的视觉体验。

The design is not confined to a single fixed style but ingeniously blends the romantic atmosphere of the Mediterranean with the ingenious ideas of postmodernism. Through the artistic expression of decorative details and the rational planning of the architectural structure, the entire space is both aesthetically pleasing and filled with a sense of order that is both relaxed and disciplined. Upon entering the interior, one can see elaborately designed decorative details everywhere, jointly narrating the story of the old houses rebirth. The ceiling is divided into several sections and painted in a fresh citrus color; the uniquely shaped chandeliers have a strong visual impact; the color combinations are bold yet well-measured, creating a visually rich and rhythmically dynamic experience.

那些承载着历史韵味的元素也没有被丢弃，传统的人字拼木地板、竖向线条护墙板，还有定制石膏线条，都被调整了尺寸比例。在保留历史感的同时，用符合当代审美的比例和细节里的小趣味，让老物件焕发新生。材质的搭配更是独具匠心：棋盘格样式的摩洛哥釉砖、纹理立体的天然大理石、水磨石地面，再加上造型像艺术品一样的定制木作，层层对比之下，空间显得丰富又立体。

Those elements carrying the historical charm were not discarded either. Traditional human-shaped wooden planks, vertical line wall panels, and custom plaster lines were all adjusted in size and proportion. While preserving the historical feel, with proportions that are in line with contemporary aesthetics and small touches of detail, the old items were given a new lease of life. The material combination was particularly ingenious: Moroccan glazed tiles in a checkered pattern, natural marble with three-dimensional textures, terrazzo flooring, and custom woodwork that resembles works of art. Through layer-by-layer contrast, the space appears rich and three-dimensional.

整体的色彩搭配，以柔和的欧洲中性色为基底，又特意加入红色、黄绿色、蔚蓝色等鲜亮色调作为点缀。这样一来，空间在沉稳克制的基调里，始终保持着活泼的张力。其中，红酒色的木作和穆拉诺玻璃吊灯堪称点睛之笔，牢牢抓住人的视线，让整个空间的设计叙事更完整。

后现代的设计语言，更是贯穿了住宅的每一个角落。从入户处Cassina几何边柜的大小比例，到主卧卫生间里带圆脚的独立浴缸，都能看出设计师对造型和比例的精准把控。

The overall color scheme is based on soft European neutral tones, with bright colors such as red, yellow-green, and azure blue added as accents. This way, the space maintains a stable and restrained tone while always retaining a lively tension. Among them, the red woodwork and Murano glass chandelier are the highlighters, firmly capturing peoples attention and making the design narrative of the entire space more complete. The post-modern design language runs through every corner of the residence. From the size ratio of the Cassina geometric side cabinet at the entrance to the round-legged independent bathtub in the master bedroom bathroom, one can see the designers precise control over shapes and proportions.

不过，再惊艳设计，也始终围绕着六口之家的生活需求展开。儿童房选用柔软的材质，搭配充满童趣的图案，打造出安全又温馨的小天地。开放式厨房与客厅相连，拱形的挑高天花板拉高了空间感，成为一家人互动交流的温暖核心区。

扩建后新增的露台面向花园，延续了室内的材质与色彩风格，既是日常用餐的好去处，也能用来招待朋友。室内与户外的生活无缝衔接，让一家人的生活场景更加舒展自在。

However, even the most stunning visual design is always centered around the living needs of a family of six. The childrens room uses soft materials and features playful patterns to create a safe and cozy little space. The open kitchen is connected to the living room, and the arched high ceiling adds to the sense of space, becoming a warm core area for family interaction and communication. The newly added terrace after the expansion faces the garden, continuing the material and color style of the interior. It is not only a great place for daily dining but also can be used to entertain friends. The indoor and outdoor living spaces seamlessly connect, making the familys living scenes more expansive and comfortable.
