坐落于意大利科莫湖畔托尔诺（Torno, Como）的 Villa Ego，是一座建于19世纪末的历史别墅。此次修复与更新在尊重原有建筑气质的前提下，为这座百年住宅注入了更贴近当代生活的舒适与秩序。

Villa Ego, located on the shores of Lake Como in Torno, Como, Italy, is a historical villa built in the late 19th century. This restoration and renovation, while respecting the original architectural character, has infused this century-old residence with a greater sense of comfort and order that is more in line with contemporary life.

改造范围涵盖了建筑立面、机电系统、室内饰面，以及花园与泳池的整体提升，但整个过程并未削弱老建筑所承载的时间感。相反，设计通过克制而精准的调整，让历史的痕迹得以自然延续。步入室内，外界的喧嚣仿佛被隔绝，时间被轻轻放慢，居住者更容易专注于当下的生活与感受。

The renovation scope includes the building facade, the mechanical and electrical systems, the interior finishes, as well as the overall improvement of the garden and the swimming pool. However, the entire process does not diminish the sense of time that the old building carries. On the contrary, through restrained and precise adjustments, the historical traces are allowed to naturally continue. Entering the interior, the outside noise seems to be isolated, time is gently slowed down, and residents can more easily focus on their current life and feelings.

住宅内部大量使用当地出产的天然材料，质朴而耐看，却并不张扬。每一个房间都像一个被精心整理的收藏空间，陈列着屋主在多年旅行中收集的艺术品与设计物件。这些物品并非刻意摆放，而是在长期使用中逐渐形成一种自然而然的秩序，既随性又耐人寻味。

The interior of the residence extensively uses natural materials produced locally. They are simple yet attractive, and do not boast excessively. Each room is like a meticulously organized storage space, displaying the artworks and design items collected by the homeowner during his long travels. These items are not placed deliberately, but have gradually formed a natural order through long-term use, being both casual and intriguing.

许多家具与器物由当地工匠手工制作，保留了细微的不规则与手作痕迹，使空间在精致之外多了一份真实与温度。整体设计强调有所取舍，去除破坏建筑比例和节奏的多余装饰，保留并强化那些具有历史意义和叙事价值的构件，让房子原本的故事继续被讲述。

Many of the furniture and objects are handmade by local artisans, retaining subtle irregularities and handcrafted marks, which adds a touch of authenticity and warmth to the space beyond its elegance. The overall design emphasizes selection and elimination, removing unnecessary decorations that disrupt the architectural proportions and rhythms, while preserving and enhancing those components with historical significance and narrative value, allowing the original story of the house to continue to be told.

例如，通体由莫尔特拉西奥石材打造的楼梯依然作为住宅的核心存在，连接起主要的生活空间；原有的灰泥墙面与壁画被细致修复，室内外墙面则统一采用天然石灰涂料，使光线更加柔和，空间尺度也显得从容而安定。

For instance, the staircase, entirely constructed from Moltressio stone, still serves as the core element of the residence, connecting the main living spaces. The original plaster walls and murals have been meticulously restored, while the interior and exterior walls are uniformly coated with natural lime paint, making the light more gentle and giving the space a more spacious and stable feel.

Here, art is no longer aloof but has merged into daily life. Villa Ego is more like a private museum that can be inhabited: it not only holds the memories of a century but also continues to grow along with current life, being quiet and steadfast.
