空间以中轴对称的布局致敬拙政园的造园哲思，构筑出“厅堂-庭院-廊轩”的虚实节奏，展现轴线间的秩序与风雅。

The spatial composition follows a central axis, paying homage to the design philosophy of the Humble Administrator’s Garden.

大横厅的通透布局延展视线，与外部景观形成对位的平衡关系。怀抱式沙发组合于开放中创造围合感，使空间在动与静之间自成韵律。

An open and transparent layout extends the visual axis, establishing a balanced dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Embracing sofa arrangements create intimacy within openness, allowing the space to find its own rhythm between movement and stillness.

餐厅延续客厅的中轴秩序，以圆形餐桌为中心，围合出亲密而有序的用餐氛围。

The dining area extends the axial order of the living room. At its heart, a circular dining table anchors the space, shaping a warm yet composed sense of intimacy.

背景墙选用进口水云纱大理石，石纹如水，流动中见雅致，为“林隐之邸”注入灵动气息。天然胡桃木木饰面、艺术吊灯与舒适质感的家具面料，共同构筑出沉静、丰盈的氛围，让日常的相聚回归纯粹与安静。

The feature wall in imported marble evokes the fluid grace of water—subtle, refined, and alive—imbuing The Forest Retreat with a quiet vitality. Natural walnut veneer, artful chandeliers, and tactile fabrics together compose an atmosphere of calm richness, where daily gatherings return to their purest, most tranquil form.

茶，是姑苏的第三种月色。此处不设钟鼓，唯有沸水轻吟、盖碗低鸣，让日常的节奏在片刻的停顿中慢慢松开。

Tea is Suzhou’s third kind of moonlight. Here, there are no bells or drums—only the gentle whisper of boiling water, the soft chime of porcelain lids. Time loosens its rhythm in these fleeting pauses.

茶室延续东方的雅致语汇，家具的比例与形制取意传统博古架，以当代手法重释其间的留白与平衡，赋予品茗之境以宁静与从容。

The tea room continues an Eastern vocabulary of grace; its furniture proportions recall the form of traditional shelves, reinterpreted through contemporary restraint, endowing the space of tea with serenity.

当月色漫过窗棂，卧室变成了吴中风雅与当代隐逸的诗意容器。此处安眠，不为避世，只为在繁华深处，以东方诗意筑一座精神家园。

When moonlight drifts across the lattice windows, the bedroom becomes a vessel of traditional grace and contemporary retreat. Here, rest is not an escape from the world, but a poetic return to an inner sanctuary amid urban splendor.

主卧天花犹如轻纱帷幔，以柔和的曲线延展空间的层次，营造出安定而平静的氛围。真丝手绘的壁纸，配合屏风造型，展现着东方的雅奢和对生活的美好愿景。

The master bedroom unfolds beneath a ceiling like a veil of silk, its graceful curves extending the spatial rhythm in layers of light and stillness.Hand-painted silk wallpaper and screen-like silhouettes express a refined classical elegance, a vision of harmony and beautiful living.

帷幔造型的天花元素延伸至主卫与衣帽间，在空间最高处，一道光沿着帷幔的弧线轻柔晕开，如同峡谷间透入的光亮。

The draped ceiling motif continues into the bathroom and dressing room, where a gentle beam of light traces along the curve—spilling softly like sunlight through a canyon.

次卧墙面造型如“层层叠浪”舒缓而有节奏。柔和的弧线在光影中延展，弱化了空间的边界，使视觉在起伏之间自然流动。

The second bedroom walls ripple like gentle waves—their soft rhythm easing the edges of space, guiding the gaze in quiet flow.

织物的温润与木饰面的肌理相互交织，低饱和度的色彩层次营造出安静而深邃的氛围。

Textile warmth and wooden textures interlace, while muted tones deepen the calm, evoking a serenity both delicate and profound.

地下一层休闲厅以“光”为主角。高透水晶玻璃砖自地面延伸至顶，形成如“水晶盒子”的空间意象，折射出的光影层层叠叠，构筑出朦胧而富有诗意的氛围。

In the basement lounge, light takes center stage. Translucent crystal glass bricks rise from floor to ceiling, forming a “crystal box” whose layered reflections create a hazy, poetic interplay of shadow and depth.

和纸质感的光顶散发柔和光芒，光线沿虚实交错的纹理流转，仿佛轻柔光幕穿过空间，将地下室点亮得明亮而通透。

A luminous ceiling, inspired by the texture of washi paper, casts a soft, diffused glow. Light flows gently along the interplay of solid and void, as if a delicate veil were drifting through the space, illuminating the basement with clarity and openness.

每一处细节，从光影的晕染到材质的质感，都在低调中传递精致与优雅，让地下室不仅成为理想的休闲空间，也化作光影与艺术交织的沉浸场域。

Every detail—from the subtle gradations of light to the tactile quality of materials—whispers refinement and elegance. Here, the basement becomes not only an ideal space for leisure, but an immersive realm where light and artistry intertwine.

在“林隐之邸”设计以自然为脉，以材质为语，以光影为韵。这里不仅是一处居所，更是一种生活方式的呈现，在城市的边界，回归心灵最深处的宁静。

At The House of Forest Retreat, design follows the pulse of nature, speaks through materials, and finds rhythm in light and shadow. This is more than a residence—it is a way of life, a retreat at the edge of the city that returns the spirit to its deepest serenity.

ABOUT MDO
