This residence, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, has a history of nearly a hundred years and exudes a gentle and reserved Mediterranean atmosphere. Compared with the common seaside aesthetic in the local area, it appears more reserved and composed. The homeowner Peggy Koenig and her new husband Francis Byrne, with the assistance of interior designer David Lucido, have reinfused the warmth of life into this old house, allowing it to retain its sense of age while presenting a more distinct personal style.

At first, Bourne was fascinated by the structure of the house itself. The solid framework and the details with a hint of time made him cant help but think of the residence that Konig had built on Marthas Vineyard. Although the main walls and layout have not been significantly altered, the two still made meticulous and thoughtful adjustments to the interior by re-examining the spatial scale and usage methods, making the layout and furniture more in line with their daily habits and aesthetic preferences.

卢西多的设计方法在稳重与自由之间保持微妙平衡。他以巴黎中古家具、当地复古物件与跳脱常规的色彩语言为线索，让空间在诗意氛围与实用功能之间获得协调。客厅天花板选用质感粗粝的桃花心木（pecky cypress），墙面覆以 Loro Piana 的织物，再搭配带有雕塑感的灯具，使乡村式的质朴与浪漫的轻盈在同一环境中自然并置。

Lucidors design approach maintains a delicate balance between stability and freedom. Taking Parisian vintage furniture, local vintage objects and unconventional color language as clues, he achieved a harmonious balance between poetic atmosphere and practical functionality in the space. The ceiling of the living room is made of rough-textured mahogany (pecky cypress), and the walls are covered with Loro Piana fabric. Paired with sculptural lamps, the rustic simplicity of the countryside and the romantic lightness are naturally juxtaposed in the same environment.

步入不同房间，材质与色调的变化构成连贯而丰富的叙事。在书房里，伯恩偏向理性的气质透过木质家具与古董藏品得以呈现；而科尼格的办公角落则显得更具创造性，甚至特别为线上会议安排背景，体现出她对功能与氛围的双重追求。

Entering different rooms, the changes in materials and tones form a coherent and rich narrative. In the study, Bournes rational temperament is presented through wooden furniture and antique collections. Konigs office corner, on the other hand, appears even more creative. It is even specially designed as a backdrop for online meetings, demonstrating her dual pursuit of functionality and atmosphere.

整个改造过程约持续八个月，主要着重于视觉层面的更新：更换壁纸、重新抹灰墙面、增设化妆间，并配以精心挑选的新家具。几乎所有配置都重新购置，也象征着两人婚姻生活的新开端。

The entire renovation process lasted approximately eight months, mainly focusing on visual updates: replacing wallpaper, repainting the walls, adding a dressing room, and equipping it with carefully selected new furniture. Almost all the configurations were repurchased, which also symbolizes a new beginning in the couples marital life. Nowadays, they have truly integrated into this residence. Every space carries life in a natural way and responds to their life rhythm and emotional needs in an inclusive and guiding manner.
