In an Art Nouveau building located in the 5th arrondissement on the left bank of Paris, architect Clement Lesnov-Rocard completed a thorough renovation of a large family apartment. This project was carried out under the premise of a completely free commission. With highly narrative architectural techniques, he transformed the classical apartment into a contemporary living space, endowing it with a distinct and unique identity.

空间的重新组织彰显了结构上的雄心与诗意的装饰感。宽敞的客厅以漂浮于白色清漆木地板之上的轻盈姿态呈现，而被命名为“凯撒厅”（Cesar Salon）的混合空间，则兼具会客、办公与沐浴的功能，中心是一座大理石浴缸，其灵感追溯至古罗马浴场。通过大尺度的结构开口与光线引入，流动与通透成为空间的基本语汇。

The reorganization of the space highlights the structural ambition and poetic decorative sense. The spacious living room is presented in a light posture floating above the white lacquered wooden floor, while the mixed space named Cesar Salon serves the functions of receiving guests, working and bathing. At the center is a marble bathtub, inspired by the ancient Roman baths. Through large-scale structural openings and the introduction of light, flow and transparency have become the basic vocabularies of space.

The dialogue of materials is at the core of this renovation: the exposed stone on the facade, the building concrete in the circular openings, the steel beams, the marble, the mirrors and the curtains, and even the cast iron stove in the stainless steel kitchen, all together form a tension field of cold and warm, refinement and roughness, smoothness and roughness. This exploration of materiality enables space to reveal its structure while also infusing it with elegance and functionality.

In addition to the custom-made furniture specially designed for this project, Lesnov Rokar also emphasizes the dialogue between contemporary art and design: The works of artists Marc Leschelier, Ira Bo and Heloise Piraud It resonates with the designs of Sophie Dries, Apparatus Studio, Kym Ellery, and the original Osaka Sofa by Pierre Paulin. Each room achieves a poetic reinterpretation of the Art Nouveau style in the present through the collision of classical decorative elements and radical contemporary interventions.
