111 West 57th Street Penthouse 是位于纽约市曼哈顿中心的一座复式顶层公寓，由伦敦设计工作室 Banda Design Studio 操刀室内设计，坐落于该大楼第76层，总面积达604平方米。这座公寓位于由SHoP Architects设计并改造的历史地标——Steinway - Sons钢琴公司旧址之上，是一座1925年落成的装饰艺术建筑杰作，如今已成为西半球第二高的住宅建筑。

111 West 57th Street Penthouse is a duplex penthouse located in the center of Manhattan, New York City. The interior Design was done by the London-based design Studio Banda Design Studio. It is situated on the 76th floor of the building and has a total area of 604 square meters. This apartment is located in Steinway -amp;, a historical landmark designed and renovated by SHoP Architects. Above the former site of the Sons Piano Company is a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture completed in 1925, which has now become the second tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere.

Banda 的设计在空间内部建立起纽约历史与欧洲文化之间的对话。他们深挖艺术家、设计师与工匠的创作资源，从项目所处的地理与文化语境出发，结合中央公园的自然意象与城市高层建筑的垂直张力，打造出一套当代表达与历史线索并置、却高度统一的叙事性空间。空间以细腻手法处理材料之间的反差与关联，比如石材与木饰面、金属与纺织物的搭配，在感官层面上实现“旧与新”“白昼与黑夜”“自然与都市”“节制与张扬”的张力与过渡。

Bandas design establishes a dialogue between New Yorks history and European culture within the space. They delved deeply into the creative resources of artists, designers and artisans. Starting from the geographical and cultural context where the project is located, they combined the natural imagery of Central Park with the vertical tension of the citys high-rise buildings to create a narrative space where contemporary expression and historical threads are juxtaposed yet highly unified. The space delicately handles the contrast and connection between materials, such as the combination of stone and wood veneer, metal and textiles, achieving the tension and transition of old and new, day and night, nature and city, and restraint and flamboyance on the sensory level.

室内布局通过镜面与弧形语言弱化常规结构的秩序性，呈现出更具流动性的体验。家具选品融合20世纪中期欧洲经典与当代定制设计，强调工艺与比例的平衡。色彩以中性色为主，但在细节之处辅以深蓝、橄榄绿与黄铜元素，为沉静空间引入必要的视觉节奏。灯光策略也展现出高度层次感，在功能与氛围之间取得精准平衡，使每个区域既具目的性又不失仪式感。

The interior layout weakens the orderliness of the conventional structure through mirrors and curved language, presenting a more fluid experience. The furniture selection integrates the classics of mid-20th-century Europe with contemporary custom design, emphasizing the balance between craftsmanship and proportion. The color scheme is mainly neutral, but deep blue, olive green and brass elements are added in the details to introduce the necessary visual rhythm to the quiet space. The lighting strategy also demonstrates a high degree of layering, achieving a precise balance between function and atmosphere, making each area both purposeful and ceremonial.

What Banda presents in this penthouse is not only a spatial redefinition of luxury residences, but also a cross-cultural and cross-era aesthetic integration. This project not only emphasizes the visual impact in form, but also pays more attention to the spiritual accumulation and continuous design logic, endowing the high-rise residences with a profound historical background and unique cultural texture.
