纽约上东区的这处阁楼公寓,曾是米其林三星主厨丹尼尔·胡姆(Daniel Humm)的理想居所,由他多年的好友兼设计师汤米·曾(Tommy Zung)及其工作室 Studio Zung 设计完成。那时,胡姆的设想清晰而果断——“打造最完美的单身公寓”。然而,命运的剧情在2024年夏天出现转折:他在艺术商人维托·施纳贝尔(Vito Schnabel)的婚礼上遇见了演员安娜贝尔·德克斯特-琼斯(Annabelle Dexter-Jones)。从那一刻起,这个空间的故事从理性克制转向了温度与情感。
This loft apartment in the Upper East Side of New York was once the ideal residence of three-Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm. It was designed by his long-time friend and designer Tommy Zung and his Studio Zung. At that time, Humms vision was clear and decisive - To create the most perfect studio apartment. However, the plot of fate took a turn in the summer of 2024: he met actress Annabelle Dedexter Jones at the wedding of art dealer Vito Schnabel. From that moment on, the story of this space shifted from rational restraint to warmth and emotion.
在最初的构想中,胡姆与曾共同追求极简的纯粹与秩序。墙面留白,家具稀疏,空间中弥漫着一种可呼吸的安静,透出厨师特有的精确与自律。然而,安娜贝尔的加入让这一切逐渐柔化。家具的层次丰富了,艺术品与陈设开始交织对话,空间由此呈现出更松弛、更具人情味的节奏。胡姆笑言:“这是我第一次真正感到这是一个‘家’,安娜贝尔让这里有了温度。”
In the initial conception, Humm and Zeng jointly pursued the purity and order of minimalism. The walls are left blank, the furniture is sparse, and the space is filled with a breathable tranquility, revealing the chefs unique precision and self-discipline. However, Annabels addition gradually softened all of this. The layers of furniture have been enriched, and artworks and furnishings have begun to interweave and communicate, thus presenting a more relaxed and humanized rhythm in the space. Humm joked, This is the first time I truly feel this is a home. Annabel has brought warmth here.
整个公寓的布局以平衡为核心。入口以漆面胡桃木包覆,营造静谧过渡;客厅、厨房与餐区共享开放格局,墙面以浅色石灰涂料反射微光,地面为乌木色橡木,形塑出一种近乎禅意的宁静感。核心家具皆为二十世纪的现代经典——夏洛特·佩里安(Charlotte Perriand)的餐桌、皮埃尔·热讷雷(Pierre Jeanneret)的扶手椅、让·罗耶尔(Jean Royère)的“北极熊”椅与伊萨穆·野口(Isamu Noguchi)的灯具,共同织就一场跨越时间的形式对话。
The layout of the entire apartment is centered around balance. The entrance is covered with lacquered walnut wood, creating a serene transition. The living room, kitchen and dining area share an open layout. The walls are painted with light-colored lime paint to reflect a faint light, and the floor is made of ebony oak, creating a sense of near-Zen-like tranquility. The core furniture is all modern classics of the 20th century - the dining table by Charlotte Perriand, the armchair by Pierre Jeanneret, the polar bear chair by Jean Royere and Isamu The lamps of Noguchi jointly weave a formal dialogue that transcends time.
厨房隐藏于胡桃木与不锈钢的层次之间,几乎消隐于视觉之中。这种克制的处理,是胡姆借鉴建筑师诺曼·福斯特(Norman Foster)理念中汲取的灵感:“最好的建筑,是让人一时忘记它的存在。”卧室则以深红与柔白的对比建立情绪张力:弗朗切斯科·克莱门特(Francesco Clemente)的画作与路易丝·布尔乔亚(Louise Bourgeois)的素描彼此呼应,让静谧的氛围中透出生命的微光。
The kitchen is hidden between the layers of walnut wood and stainless steel, almost vanishing from sight. This restrained approach was inspired by the ideas of architect Norman Foster that Humm drew: The best architecture is one that makes people forget its existence for a moment. The bedroom creates an emotional tension through the contrast of deep red and soft white: the paintings of Francesco Clemente and the sketches of Louise Bourgeois echo each other, allowing a glimmer of life to seep through the serene atmosphere.
如今,这间公寓在理性与感性之间达成平衡。它既保留了设计的严谨逻辑,又包容了生活的随性流动。安娜贝尔笑着说:“家中没有固定的规则,哪怕有点凌乱也无妨。”在他们共同的日常里,秩序与温度、构筑与情感,彼此交融。
Nowadays, this apartment strikes a balance between rationality and sensibility. It not only retains the rigorous logic of design but also embraces the casual flow of life. Annabel smiled and said, There are no fixed rules at home. Even if its a bit messy, it doesnt matter. In their shared daily life, order and warmth, construction and emotion blend with each other.
